My research focuses on optimizing shared understanding of complex problems in software development and other problem solving environments. I am currently developing a research program which revolves around understanding how software development teams use documentation (or other artifacts such as models or tools) to make sense of a complex problem. I would be interested in a similar problem in other domains such as project management or new product development.
