Software Development
As a Grad Student, much of my assistantship consisted of duties performed on a software development team, developing a rapid application development platform for collaboration support tools. I managed requirements as the Story Master, a role I developed to assist the product owner in collecting and managing user stories (one sentence descriptions of software). I also managed a small testing team of student testers, developing and writing test cases, and reporting bugs. Experience in these roles has informed and motivated my primary research stream.
GSS-Supported Meeting Facilitation
I also assumed the role of facilitator in several paid engagements as part of my assistantship. These engagements included a series of IT process assessment workshops and a series of technology innovation experiences for students considering careers in information technology. I have also facilitated such sessions as part of data collection endeavors. I also provided specialized technical support for the GSS hardware and software during many other engagements.
